The cycle of life

Life is full of cycles…a number of events that happen again and again in the same cycle.

One of the cycles that many of us look forward to is the cycle of the seasons…Summer, Autumn, Winter and Spring. Some plants, bushes and trees emphasise these with greenery turning to autumn shades then dropping to the ground for buds to form again. This change is predictable, quite lovely to witness and reminds us that living things evolve and we do too.

However, there are many unhelpful and unhealthy cycles that we can get stuck in…misery, criticism, poor little old me, poverty, anxiety, anger, abuse etc. Breaking these cycles is never easy and requires support and much more than will power. We need support and education to change our brains, usually through skilled help and personal dogged determination along with friends, family and community. The 3 ‘P’ aspects of practical, prayerful (spiritual) and professional care often join forces in breaking cycles that are not life giving.

Please know that if you are a carer of someone that is stuck in a cycle you might need help too and that you have as much need to receive support as they do.

If you’re stuck?

Let’s talk!
