What do you need or want this Christmas?

Given the traffic and the lack of parking at the shopping centres…shopping, in particular gift giving, appears to be paramount again this year. Of course we enjoy Christmas goodies, the food and the beverages that tantalise and add to the specialness of any occasion and buying gifts for the little and big ones in our circle can be one of life’s simple pleasures, albeit a bit stressful at times. But apart from some of these things what else might we need or want this Christmas?

We wish each other a Merry Christmas yet that might be difficult for some. Life doesn’t stop, any grief we feel lingers, hurt might pervade, disappointment or sadness might overwhelm us. At this Christmas time may we have the courage to express our need and encourage those around us to do the same. After all, this is a time for giving and receiving.

Whether we are with family, friends, alone or an eclectic mix of folk, we all need to feel connected, to find purpose and to have hope to live the best life we can. As we reflect on the stuff of life and options that could bring about needed change. Who can we reach out to?  What do we really need or want? How will we initiate any change?

We wish you comfort in the messiness of life and joy as you find ways to achieve what you need and want.

If you’re stuck?
