Whoops... and there goes November?

Today is the first day of December and until this morning I was still intending to post a November blog. Oh bother...time got away and now it's not going to happen. So...moving on...

Dealing with stuff like this isn't easy as we feel disappointed when we don't achieve our goals and we feel frustrated when things don't turn out the way we want them to. Where do we feel it? Somewhere in our bodies and especially in our gut.

So how do we de-stress?

Breathe

Breathe in the calm...air filling up and expanding our belly's

Breathe out the tension...pushing the air out of our belly's

Repeat at least 3 times and notice our breath as it goes in and out of our bodies

Find place of Calm

Imagine our calm place...that place of quiet peaceful serenity that we have been or long to be

Consider the 5 senses...what we see, hear, smell, touch and taste when there

Staying in this place, as we experience calm, we can continue to notice our breathing

Helping others to de-stress

As we come across others who are disappointed or frustrated what would it be like to share this effective method of reducing stress and instilling calm?

Could we gift this to a family member, a friend or a colleague?

Maybe we could expand this and gift them with things that tap into the 5 senses and help them to find their own place of calm: a significant song, a fragrance, something to taste, a picture or tactile item to manipulate and hold.

Let's encourage each other to find our place of calm in the midst of all that is going on in and around us. And if we are having difficulty doing this then let's reach out, say what we need or want and get some help.

Feeling stuck?

Lets talk!!
