World Mental Health Day
World mental health day is a little different this year, with events and get-togethers more restricted then usual…you’re telling me?…sigh!…collective groan…the longest & loudest understandably coming from Victorians. The Pandemic has given us even greater need to consider how we are coping during this strange time.
“Look after your mental health Australia.”
The facts are:
1 in 5 Australians are affected by mental illness annually, yet many don’t seek help because of stigma.
1 in 3, nearly a third of Australian workers, are affected by mental illness annually.
54% of people with mental illness do not access treatment.
45% of Australians will experience a mental illness in their lifetime.
We want to bring greater awareness to Mental Health…the affect, the reality and the options available for improving our health.
The good news is we can take responsibility to help ourselves to feel better :)
There are resources to share with friends, family, colleagues, and the community on this website…
